Vision & Strategy: Growth Through Diversification
Previously focused on oil & gas, Berkley Resources is expanding its strategy to invest in other high-growth industries. Our acquisitions come from management's contacts, relationships and knowledge of sectors poised for strong growth.

We've made this change for one reason only---diversification exposes shareholders to new opportunities for increasing value. While we remain confident of the positive risk/reward profile of our oil & gas investments, we occasionally encounter opportunities that we believe provide equal if not far better chances for success with acceptable risk. If we're confident these opportunities will increase shareholder value in the long term, we may invest.

Oil & Gas Operations
Berkley operates in the oil-rich Canadian provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan. Alberta is the world's 2nd largest exporter and 4th largest producer of natural gas. The province also produces over 1.8 million barrels of oil per day, most of which is exported to the United States. Stable and resource-friendly governments, solid infrastructure and low taxes provide Berkley with the ideal climate to grow in both Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Oil & Gas Growth Strategy:
  1. Develop new fields through the drill and strategic partnership
  2. Mitigate risk through joint venture development. Berkley's typical joint venture profile includes:
    1. Target Ownership of 20% per project;
    2. Favorable risk/reward ratios;
    3. Working with experienced operators who have their own cash invested.
  3. Use our industry contacts to acquire participation in new projects.
The Company's priorities are to expand BOE per day production. In that regard, we're preparing to drill at Crossfield, a target with strong potential for significant natural gas output. We're also continuing to explore new opportunities in Western Canada.

Recent Investment: Life Sciences/Cell Replication
Our recent investment in RepliCel Life Sciences Inc. reflects our belief that cell replication technology holds enormous promise for human health in both the near and long term. RepliCel's current focus is employing cell replication as a treatment for pattern baldness and other forms of hair loss in both men and women.
